Booking Air When Traveling with Children Under 2
If you are traveling with a child less than 24 months old and plan to have them sit on your lap during the flight, there is usually no charge for travel within the United States. Each infant must be accompanied by a ticketed adult passenger
over 18. If you have an international flight outside the U.S., the airline may charge a special fee
collected at the airport. You can also book a seat specifically for a child
under 2 by contacting the airline directly. Please check with the airline for specific rules and
any documentation that may be required. Certain hotels may charge an extra
person fee for more than 2 guests, regardless of age.
